I know I can get a visa with a bit of a wait at the crossing from Beirut to Damas but I am wondering about the crossing up north to Aleppo. Does anyone have direct personal experience with this?
The US embassy here in Beirut says US citizens cannot cross anywhere any how anyway..this is clearly Bush BS. Pretty sick that the State dept is too controlled by the current admin but whatever. Who has crossed and gotten a Syrian visa at which borders besides the Beirut to Damas road in Lebanon?? Direct info greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I wouldn`t take the Qaa boarder to Homs which is quite"rural" and -as I felt- has no routine with foreigners at all. So there are only two boarder crossings left - the one to DAM, with some chaos -- but routined with foreigners, and the other one along the sea towards Tartous -- but I never took that one -so I wish you the best -
P.S: I´m travelling on a European passport
