I have been on the Syrian train web page and the only fast train that I can find from Aleppo to Hama leaves at 3:50 am? Does anyone knows if there is another?
What time does the fast train leave from Hama to Damascus?
Are these trains daily?

I've just checked out their web page (in Arabic) and found this:
The train from Aleppo Hama en route to Damascus you reffered to has the number 170.
Yes, you have another two trains that run daily with different timing and rates:
TripA (trainset)- No:10, Aleppo:5.40, Hama: 7.05, Damascus: 9.40
TripB-(trainset)- No:12, Aleppo:10.10, Hama:11.39, Damascus:14.33
TripC-(trainset)- No:16, Aleppo:16.45, Hama:18.10, Damascus:21.02

There is also another train from Aleppo to Hama (and onto Homs, not sure if onto Damascus).
We showed up to take the 10.10 train from Aleppo to Hama, but they said that it was sold out. I then expected them to say that the next one was at 16.45 ........ but he said the next train to Hama left at 15.30.
We took the 15.30 train (old), about 2 hours.
