we just went on a trip to syria and we're thinking of returning there for a 3 months stay in damascus. i've tried to research what sort of visa one needs or can get to stay 3 months (we would not be working there) as private individuals. i read that on a tourist visa after 15 days you have to check in with syrian authorities to extend your visa and that there is a chance that the request will be turned down, which is a problem. If anyone has experience with visas for a longer stay in syria NOT related to studies or work, please let me know. many thanks.
