is there a moment in springtime when Musandam blossoms ?
and is it realistic for a visitor
a) to plan to be there at the right time?
b) to easily get to places where this would be spectacular?

thanks

I have been in Wadi Bih (close to Musandam) with a marvellous show of flowers but that was after a lot of rain rather than it being the right 'moment'. If you don't live near the area booking a holiday at this time of year plus another month or two would be the best guess. As for question b it depends on your idea of spectacular. The Wadi Bih flowers were only marvellous for the Middle East - anywhere else in the world they would have been less than impressive. Assuming you are eligible for the visa it's easy enough to get into Musandam.

Great minds think alike Vera - I've seen the fjords of Mussandam Island looking stunning, covered in grass with flowers everywhere and been gobsmacked by it, but only because of the contrast to what it usually looks like.

Back to the OP, its totally a function of a good heavy rain, and is completely non-predictable, but the next couple of months would be the most likely time of year. I wouldnt base any trip plans on it.
