Duty free alcohol

Hi there

Can anyone advise if it is allowed to bring duty whiskey into Oman. I normally pick up a bottle at Heathrow but wonder if this will be allowed for direct flights to Oman.

You can bring duty free alcohol into Oman with no problems, they allow 2 bottles (wine or spirits) or 12 cans of beer. They even have a small duty free shop in arrivals so unless you want to bring in a good single malt (they only carry a basic range in the arrival shop), its easier to buy it in Oman, rather than Heathrow.

Oh. Unless you're arriving during Ramadan - the booze shop is closed for the month, but its still fine to bring it in with you.
