Please, I am going to visit Al Nakhal Fort and Springs (eventually Wadi Bani Auf) in late March. I would also like to relax on the coast around Barka.
1) I need to find some cheap accommodation. I have found only very expensive resort.
2) Is it possible to camp or sleep (in sleeping bag) on the beach? (for safety reason).
3) Sheikh´s Lodge is open and is any contact?
4) Does run any microbus between Barka, Al Nakhal and Rustaq?

you can camp in sawadi beach, it is safe and have public beach. There is Sawadi resort/hotel there, but might not be cheap possibly 40 rial or so. The day use of the gym and pool is 5 rial for fri and 3 rial for weekdays.
I think I seen a sign Grill House restaurant and accomodation between Naseem garden and Barka, i think it just has few rooms, you can try and contact them.
