from one of the 33 countries,

No idea what that means, but unless you're from one of the six GCC countries, of course you'll need a visa. It is utterly irrelevant that you have a visa for Oman; each Gulf state has its own visa requirements, and each requires a separate visa.

The 33 countries are those whose citizens can get a VOA at the UAE borders.
But yes, as Zashibis says, you still need a visa.
They issue them at the road border just the same as at the airport, and there is no charge, but you may need to have an iris scan before they issue it.

You'll need another Oman visa if you come back again.

There is yes. Assuming you only need a tourist (10 day) visa, then its 5 OR. Otherwise 20 OR for a longer duration visa.

@Zashibis - Let us not forget the common tourist visa policy Dubai and Oman have :-) however it only applies when travelling by air between DXB and MCT airports so you don't have to pay for an Omani visa stamp. There also is a similar policy between Qatar and Oman in place, not sure if this one still is in place.

Hei!

It seems like you guys know Oman quite well. I've been to Dubai several times and I don't need a visa there, so that's fine. I also know that I can get the visa for Oman at the airport in Muscat. But I do wonder if the same rules apply at the border between Dubai and Oman? Or do I have to fly to Muscat?

I also wonder if you have any travels advices for my short stay in Oman? I'll only be there for 5 days or so.

Thanks in advance!

If you have a visa stamp from Dubai (no other place in UAE) and are flying the leg between Dubai and Muscat, you are entitled to a free visa on arrival in Muscat. There is some fine print though:
"Visa required, except for Holders of a valid visa or entrance stamp for Dubai, provided arriving directly from the Emirate of Dubai (visa must be valid for at least 21 days on arrival)."
In other words, and as pointed out before, flying is mandatory to avail from this free visa.
