Hi

I'm travelling to Lebanon for a few days in mid-November and want to spend some of my time driving through through the Qadisha Valley and then visiting the ruins at Baalbek. I have two questions:

  • Firstly, it will be Eid-al-Adha during my trip, but does anyone know if places like the Baalbek ruins will be closed on that day, as it is a public holiday? Are restaurants and things likely to be closed?

  • Secondly, is it ok to drive through the mountains at that time of year, eg, will it get dark really early and is there likely to be frost/ snow?

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

I see this didn't get replied to last year -- anyone have any insight to offer on the topic for those of us traveling around Lebanon during Eid al-Adha this year?
