I'm planning to travel around Lebanon during the first 2 weeks of October with my boyfriend, focusing on the south of the country. We've been to Beirut before so we want to focus outside the capital. Any suggestions on places we can visit, specifically nice budget hotel options or picturesque inns?? I've found Al-Fanar in Tyre, which looks like a lovely place for a couple days, has anyone been there and can tell me up-to-date prices? (their website isn't working.)

Also, I found Zefta hostel outside Nebatiye, is this a nice area to visit? What is there to do nearby, maybe some hiking? (that would be perfect) the hostel site is here: http://hostelslebanon.com/find-a-hostel/south-lebanon/zefta-youth-hostel/

Any other nice but budget places to stay would be really appreciated

Hi,

Look at the diafhee program : http://www.dhiafeeprogram.org/en/home.html
This is a nice method to meet the libanese and the culture.

Have a beautiful travel.
