Ahoy there!

I'd like to travel from Bcharre to Zahle and then onto Damascus.

I know most buses from Beruit to Damascus go through Zahle so this seems like a logical stop over point. I'm not in a huge rush so Zahle seems like a pleasant place to spend an afternoon and night (I've been to Baalbek which I think is probably the easier place to get to).

Anyway, anybody know if it's possible to go from Bcharre direct to Zahle or, as I suspect do I need to change Baalbek?!

I'd planned to travel by bus or service taxi if possible but could look at a private taxi if it's going to take forever!

Thanks.

If you are not already here, I can tell you that it seems the only way from Bshaare to Zahle is probably through Baalbeck, and I am told the only way to get there is by taxi. About $50. Maybe you can take a series of local buses but unless you speak Arabic, or French it might be difficult to get that information. I am taking the taxi tomorrow. Wish me luck. And good luck to you.
