Hi,
Thanks for your help with our flights. We are now travelling to Jordan and Oman.
Suggestions as to a hotel or hostel in Amman and/or Muscat. Our budget is $40 to %0 and central location. We like an ensuite as well but do not mind our own room and shared washroom in hostels.
Does anyone have the name of a driver/guide? We would rather use a guide as selecting a group tour. Although we have enjoyed smaller group tours. I had the name of a guide to Rum Wadi a couple of years ago but…
Hello,
I am traveling to Jordan for humanitarian work this fall and I am looking for a point of contact as I am coming on a civilian visa. If you are willing to help me out, or know of somewhere outside al-Zaatari that I can stay, please let me know. I greatly appreciate your assistance.
Kind Regards,
Paul
Does anyone know if it's possible to do the Dana to Petra trek with Adventure Jordan in November, and if so how to book it? I already have travel arrangements to Jordan, so am only interested in the trek, not a package deal with travel to/from my home country included. The website of Adventure Jordan does not give any information about this and they have not replied to my email.
I'd also appreciate any other tips and good ideas on what to do/not to do in Jordan.
Thanks :-)
Hi,
Will be flying from Tel Aviv on a 630am flight to Eilat and wanted to know the best way to get to Petra and if this is suggested to do without a tour group. Once we cross border into Jordan, how long is a taxi ride and will they take dollars or shekels? Thank you.
hey! i'm looking for a cheap hotel or hostel to stay thats near the northern bus station, or at least has easy access to it.
I'm flying in late evening and want to catch the airport bus to the station and not have to pay much for a taxi to the the hotel and back to the bus station in the morning so i can head north. Anybody know of any? alternatively anyone know of a hotel with a cheap airport shuttle? Thanks!
Hello again. I'm posting after my recent question. I was staying in Jerusalem for a week and wanted to visit Jordan as well.
I wanted to provide a short trip report with a few tips that might help others. Bear in mind that I visited in August, during Ramadan and on a Friday. I'm a British passport holder.
I got my visa from Tel Aviv (definitely required for Allenby crossing- I saw a French couple turned away as they didn’t have one). The Jordanian embassy closes at 13.30 but has no passport…
Hi,
I am an American who will be crossing the southern border between Jordan and Israel and then returning via the northern border. I have a second passport because I am living in Amman this year and will hopefully be visiting Lebanon in the spring.
Has anyone had any luck asking Jordanian border guards to stamp a piece of paper when exiting Jordan to enter Israel via the southern border crossing?
I was told to do this and then present my second passport to the Israeli guards and do the…
Hi
We are still attempting to settle on a fall trip destination. We're thinking of flying into Jordan for two weeks and visit Saudi Arabia and Oman for about three weeks. We have visited Israel and Egypt so will not include those two countries in our plan. Unfortunately Syria is out of the current travel picture
Using easy jet we are planning to fly into Jordan, Amman and from here fly to Saudi Arabia then on to Oman and back to Amman or directly to London from Omen.
Suggestions as to a…
Hi
I have a couple of days free after a group tour finishes in Amman so looking for ideas. I was thinking of heading back to the Dead Sea for a couple of days, but does anyone know of how I can travel there and back under my own steam - would taxis be super-expensive?? Or open to any other ideas that aren't already covered by the trip (Jerash, Petra, Madaba, Mt Nebo, Karak, Wadi Rum, Aqaba)
cheers guys
