After almost giving up to stay in Wadi Mujib and Dana Reserves because they do not answer e-mails and faxes I met by chance on the internet a tourism agency where I can make online reservations for these places .

The agency is the Jordan Select Tours (jordan-travel.com).

After confirming the reservation for 2 days at Chalet Mujib and send the payment authorization to my credit card I read on Jordan Jubilee website that this agency was making reservations for a hotel without the hotel permission and without pass the value paid by guests to the hotel :

"Bait Ali is at present the victim of an agency who is taking bookings on their behalf and accepting deposits without their authorisation. Obviously neither the reservations nor the money for deposits reach Bait Ali - and if you arrive when they are booked out, then too bad for you! The name of the agency is "Jordan Select Tours, a member of whl.travel (WHL) Suite 203, Amin Mari Complex, Amman, Jordan Tel.962 6 5930588/9 Fax: 962 6 5930811 Email: seif@select.jo or info@select.jo Website: www.jordan-travel.jo". They were brought to my attention when they recently quoted the price of 270USD for transport for two people between Petra and Wadi Rum. The price of a normal taxi is 35JD."

Someone has used this agency to book Mujib or Dana hotels?

This agency is legitimate or I will discover that I paid and I have no reservation when you arrive in Wadi Mujib?

I would like to know . Thank you.

The agency is fine. However, you may find that you have paid them a commission to book for you - so you will pay more for your room than is quoted on the RSCN website.

There is no problem booking with the RSCN - I have done it many times. Just email:
tourism@rscn.org.jo
with the dates and details of your trip, and which reserve you want to stay in on which day. They always email me back within a few days. You could also call them to talk it through on the phone: +96264633589 (8am-2pm Jordan time).

Thank you ruffgyder .

I sent dozens of emails and received no response, now I have to send dozens more to book the trails.
English is not my native language and I have difficulty to understanding the Jordanian English accent and staff has no patience to repeat until I understand so I give up to call them.

The price is another thing that is worrying me. On Mujib Reserve website the price is 65 JD per night and this company charged me 60 US dolars per night so... cheaper than RSCN. This does not seem very strange?

After recently seeing this post we contacted Jordan Jubilee who have since corrected their mistake, and I quote the site:

"In fact I previously gave the name of Jordan Select tours as the agency in question. I now understand that this is NOT so, and I unreservedly apologise to them for the misunderstanding that led to my thinking that it was. To the best of my belief, Jordan Select Tours is a reputable agency, who is on the best of terms with Bait Ali, and to whom you can apply in full confidence"

We work very hard for our clients and our reputation, both locally and internationally, and it is unfortunate that we were confused with another company. I hope that vaniacroccia gets to see this post and will give readers feedback of how her booking with us went. We strive to give our clients the best value and have always paid our suppliers in full and on time. Jordan Select Tours

Hello jordanselectours.
I made the reservation for the Mujib Chalets through your agency and everything worked very well. I made a mistake at the booking date and I was answered promptly when asked to change it.
I recommend your agency and will use the services of its business partner in Syria and Lebanon on my next trip.
My stay at Mujib was wonderful, thank you

I confirm that through a more than unfortunate misunderstanding the name of Jordan Select Tours was given by mistake. I am very unhappy about this - it is the first time I have slipped up like this and I am anxious to make what amends I can.
