Buy your visa on arrival at the airport. Cost 10 JD (= 11 euro). You can only pay in JD. There is a 24hr bank beside the visa counter.

Just to confirm - there is a bank opposite the visa counter (at least there was when I visited in March 08), but it doesn't have a ATM, so you need to have some cash or travellers cheques to change. There is an ATM just past the visa counter / baggage collection, so you can use a card there.

I would double check with the embassy or Jordanian consulate in your country... I'm a Colombian passport holder and they wanted to send me back to NY because I didn't get a visa in advance there... after 4 different security guards, I was able to get an exemption and they were pretty nice about it... Jordan is a country that loves tourist!

Scroll to the bottom and play around with the pulldown menu. If you look there, under South America, it says quite clearly that citizens of 3 named countries in the region require prior visa clearance: Belize, Colombia, Cuba.
