We're thinking of going to Jordan for a couple of weeks in January. I'd appreciate people's experiences and thoughts regarding the time of year, the weather, accommodation and transport within the country.

Thank you.

Bloody cold unless you head down to the Dead Sea or a lot further south to Aqaba area.

Hello,

Except some parts of the King Highway, you can use public transport for visiting the country. You will find alternative lift for the missing parts.
Close to Syria, Iraq and the occupied territories, there are not too much tourists and you can find rooms at any rates.
People are friendly and the travel is very easy.
Have a good travel

Michel

And I found him to be unreliable, untrustworthy and a rip off merchant.

Hello,

It's my first time to this forum, and i feel that what I heard from many people is right : behind supposed travellers are in fact people "in the business" fighting and revenging each other in the poorest manners.
In other terms, this forum, as many others (Trip Advisor for example) is not reliable at all.

I am personnally going to Jordan soon, and I think I will make my own idea by other means.

Maybe when I will be back, I can give some informations from my personal experience, although the idea of meeting those writing nonsense is quite discouraging !

The forum manager should be a little more careful.

Anyway Jordan's beautiful, and I expect a great trip !
