I was in Jordan for 8 days from March 31st to April 7th. After a thorough research on tours and companies, I was suggested to hire a private driver to tour all the amazing places in Jordan. Omran Brkawi’s services was recommended by many different people and they were right in doing so. I began contacting Omran almost four months ago. He patiently answered all my questions, suggested not only interesting sites to visit but also several hotels for me to compare and book according to my needs. Omran was also very flexible in changing itineraries and adding a couple of attractions that were not part of the initial program. Omran and his team made my Jordan experience a life time memory. I could see the wisdom of having a private driver as you can practically stop anywhere, take your time to visit places or change things in the last minute. I saw some others tourists rushing from one place to another or a very disappointed guide because people were not arriving on time at the desired meeting point. That was not the case with Omran and his team. I felt I saw and enjoyed Jordan historical attractions more than anybody. I also received tips on how to visit and tour the attractions on my own. As a result those tips saved me money and time. This was probably one of the best trips of my life and the success of it was mostly due to the professionalism, punctuality and knowledge of Omran and his team.

Saw this posting and just wanted to reply and note that a group of friends and I also used Omran Brkawi's services when we were in Jordan on the advice of a friend. Have to say we were quite pleased with how everything went. We organized a 5 day trip starting in Amman and heading through Madaba, Dead Sea, Petra, and Wadi Rum. Everything went very smoothly and without a hitch. Mr. Brkawi called our group every morning to ask us how our trip was going and to make sure our driver was treating us well. He even managed to meet us in Wadi Rum on our last day and drive us personally back to Amman to catch our flight to Dubai later that evening and joined us for lunch to discuss our trip and Jordan.
If you're looking for a driver in Jordan, I'd second this suggestion and recommend giving him an email.
Just saw this thread and wanted to make a quick post about the driver we hired in Jordan as we did a lot of research prior to leaving and thought this may help others choose a driver as it seems there are a lot of options. We got very lucky on our trip and our driver was incredible. His name is Omran Brkawi and although my wife and I were a little bit worried about landing in Jordan with safety etc. we immediately felt very warmly received at the airport in Amman and he put us at ease. Omran had sent us a detailed itinerary before we landed with a quoted price so we knew what to expect. We told him how long we had to spend in Jordan and what we wanted to see. He created a custom trip including Amman, Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, Petra and everything in between. Just make a list of everything you want to see and he will make sure to include it. Our quote included car, driver, gas and even little things like coffee and water which goes a long way. When you hear or read about Middle East hospitality in the lonely planet (btw pick up lonely planet Jordan it's worth every cent and gave great tips on Petra which is needed) being from Canada you don't really know what to expect but Omran went way out of his way on multiple occasions to make us feel comfortable and safe. Let me say his network and relationships around Jordan are very impressive. He loves his country and wants the tourists to have the greatest experience possible. Having traveled extensively in the past sometimes you can become weary of peoples intentions and it can make you jaded after being taken advantage of (being ripped off etc). However, Omran was the opposite. He warned us of scams and overpaying etc. so we were not taken advantage of. He is a genuinely kind and caring person. Jordan is very lucky to have someone like Omran to showcase their country. I would highly recommend him to anyone and we would rebook him in a second.
His details are below and you will no doubt see photos of Lisa and I on his Facebook page as Omran could be a professional photographer with all the shots he helped take with us to make this trip even more memorable :)

We undertook a week long trip of Jordan in March 2014. It was one of our best holidays. Besides the natural beauty of Jordan, the people were amongst the most friendly that we have encountered in our travels.
We arranged our travel through Omran Brkawi, who is a driver himself wand runs his own company. He made a lot of effort to make our travel truly comfortable. We were allotted different drivers during our travels and most of the times the cars were quite comfortable and always efficient. Though we never got to drive around with Omran, we were in touch with him constantly through other drivers. I want to especially mention Zaid whom we drove around with the most. He was extremely friendly, polite and drove safe.
Omran also arranged our stay in Wadi Rum which was probably the best part of our trip. Though simple, the hosts at the camp went out of the way to make the most of this trip.
The one thing we would have appreciated more is if some of the drivers would have been more forthcoming and guided us a bit more rather than driving us! These small things make a lot of difference. Two of them - Zaid and Radi (I think) in Aqaba were fantastic. Maybe Omran also could have driven us for one day! Anyway, we were quite satisfied with our trip and would definitely recommend Omran.
