I'm a 21 year old experienced traveller and I'm planning to go to Jordan for 2 weeks and hire a car. My plan is to drive round the country.

My question is how will I get on as a solo traveller driving round Jordan. Is it easy to meet people and will I be okay as a 21 year old male driving in the country.

Are there any concerns I should be made aware of or will it be fine?

welcome to Jordan
of course you can hire a car and self drive around the country. You have no problem safety wise

It cost you around $65 per day to cover cost of the car and fuel etc.Beside you be isolated from meeting and mixing with others as I understand you want to meet people.

Consider stay at western orientated hotels that arrange for shared tours for their guests. You meet like minded people and share tours. The cost is usually split 4 ways .average cost when you share a tour to a tourists sites around $ 25 per day .So it is economical and have chance to meet others especially solo travelers and make travel buddies

there are good hotels in downtown Amman that do just that.

cheers

Raymond
