Hi all, I was trying to get information about Rummana Campsite. On my guide book (rough ), it's written that it is costing 13 Jd p.p. for a tent of 4. On the website I found, they say 192 for the whole tent. I sent mails, but get no answer. So I think I'm on the wrong website.
Has anyone already been there and it is able to tell me if it is worthwhile staying in the camp and most of all, the prices?

What website? The camping site belongs to the RSCN, so that should be in the homepage URL and the e-mail address.

I don't find prices neither mail. I sent an email to Dana guesthouse, but no answer.
But is it a luxury place?

The address for enquiries would be tourism@rscn.org.jo. Dana notoriously never answers any enquiries!!
Prices have increased considerably in Jordan in the last couple of years, and also the Rummana Camp has been considerably upgraded, so I would expect a pretty high increase.
The new RG is due out on the 1st September and will probably have updated prices. The latest LP talks about 25 to 50JD according to how many people you are, and says that there is a students' discount of 45% which seems a lot to me. It talks about "minimal facilities" so you have been warned!

thanks a lot. SO, I think the new prices seems to be 192JD for a quad tent.....which sems very high to me too!! If someone have more infos....if really exists the 25 JD price shown on the LP...

Here is the price list for everything at Dana nature reserve, including the Rummana campsite:
The Rough Guide says JD13pp if four people are in a tent (i.e. tent price JD52, plus JD12 for 4 breakfasts = total JD64). Prices have gone up slightly, but the main thing is that they have rearranged how individuals can stay! The website says that non-Jordanians now pay JD48 for a tent big enough for 1 or 2 people, or JD72 for a tent big enough for 3 people - prices are B&B including breakfast.
Enjoy - it's a fabulous place. I love Rummana.

That damn price list.....
Be careful, the prices given are all BEFORE tax! You only see this right down at the bottom of the page, and very few people go so far if they find the prices they are looking for before that!
Note also the very last line "Guiding services are not available during the Holy Month of Ramadan" which goes for all of the RSCN reserves.

Hi there,
my husband and I are booked into the campsite for two nights in oct. Below is the information that I received within a couple of days after emailing Tourism tourism@rscn.org.jo. I believe these are the same rates posted on the website. The Dana Guest House contact info provided on the website did not work so well, and I had to email them a couple of times before they forwarded my inquiry to the tourism address. I hope this is helpful!
Kindly note that the tents in Rummana campsite equipped with mattresses, pillows and cover sheets.
Please advise in order to book the service.
Regarding to the rates it will cost you as following:
• Rummana Campsite:
Category Single / Double Triple
Walk-In JOD 48 JOD 72
Resident / Corporate JOD 44 JOD 66
Jordanian / Tour Operator JOD 38 JOD 57
• Breakfast meal.
• Entrance fees.
• Conservation fees (JOD 10 per tent).
1 night double tent = 48 JD+8% = 51.84 JD
