Greetings,
My fiancee and I are planning to spend five days in Jordan at the end of April. We came up with the following tentative itinerary...I wonder if anyone familiar with Jordan, could have a quick look and offer any suggestions on how to improve what we have/fill in the gaps. The itinerary has been changing by the day so we'd like to put an end to it. :)
FLIGHT INFO:
4/24 arrive in Amman by air at 4pm
4/28 leave Amman by air at 5pm
Would like to include (in no particular order): Amman, Jerash, Petra, Dead Sea, Bethany/Nebo/Madaba
Ok here goes:
4/24 arrive in Amman by air at 4pm
*sleep in JERASH, AMMAN or MADABA
**would it be possible to use this first evening to knock something off the above checklist??
4/25 tour of Jerash and Amman
*sleep in AMMAN, MADADA or PETRA
4/26 go to Petra(if not already there) and sightsee Petra(1/2 day or full day depending on where we slept the previous night)
sleep in Petra
4/27 full day in Petra including Petra at night
*Sleep in PETRA or MADADA...
**would it be possible to find a ride to Madada after Petra at night???
4/28 go to Madaba(if not already there) and tour of Bethany, Nebo, Dead Sea
Fly out (from Amman) at 5pm
Because we have such a short time, we felt we had to leave something out which was Wadi Rum unfortunately. We get the impression that it's a place where it's better to take your time and not be rushed so we'll probably include it in a future trip where we have more time and combine it with Aqaba/some diving, etc.
Cheers!
