Quick question - anyone definitely know of a place that serves mujaddara in Amman?

No . Restauranteers regard it as the poor mans food.they are embarassed to have it on their menu.
It is one of my favourite dish the Kalaya Tomato onion and herbs in frying pan it is also regarded as poor man,s dish
You can get Mujadara with rice and also with burgul at Pizza Roma Cafe in downtown Amman

Correct as I said before it Arab regard it as embarrsing to put Mujadara on the menu.They do cook it i had it many times.Give them a call

I think that there is mujaddara in Kan Zaman's buffet, but of course that is not Amman proper.

I'm on here nearly every day, but don't come to this branch as often, many people here can give better advice than me. You can usually find me on the Turkish branch as I know that country very well. (And no travellers in Syria I hope, right now.)
