I booked my trip before the thing with I.S.I.S and I am wondering if it is safe to travel there at this time. Can anybody tell me about staying in Wadi Ru. I have read good and bad things . Thank you

For some people, the protected area is too formated and they prefer to stay outside this part of the Wadi Rum.
For some other people, they want to stay only in the protected area where you will find many camps.
It's mainly a question of choice.
I was staying outside the protected area, around Diseh. I was independent and travelled by myself.
If you use an organised tour or coming by travel agency, it will be the protected area.

Hi! I have the same question, because I was thinking of travelling to Jordan in April. After reading multiple articles from The Jordan Times and others, I got scared of the advance of ISIL in Jordan territory. How can we know ISIL won't make progress in Jordan? It's sad because Jordan seems like such a beautiful country, but now it looks scary to visit.
