How long to drive from Madaba to Azraq avoiding Amman??

Hi guys

I apologise for having to ask but i've searched the net and forums and can't find the exact answer i'm after.

I'll have a hire car in Jordan so will be driving myself but was just wondering how long it would take me to drive from Madaba where i'm staying to reach Azraq (i'll be visiting some of the desert castles). I would love to avoid driving in Amman so would need to take that into consideration

Enter the following in bing maps: Madaba, Jordan and Azraq ash Shishan. Gives you a pretty good idea. South part of Amman is rather quiet, so don't worry.

Castle in Azraq might be closed due to restoration. Check with your hotel for the latest. If closed, you will save yourself some miles. When you arrive in Azraq, you will end at a T-junction. You have to turn left there.
