Just a quick question: Whats the maximum amount of JD that I can withdraw at an ATM in a single transaction or per day?

Depends on your bank and what kind of card you use, but in general it is either JD200 or JD250 per day at a Maestro connected bank.
Not sure if that is per day per bank.

I use the HSBC ATM's in Amman and the restriction is what my bank sets, not the HSBC. I use my Maestro card and can get 700JD but then I can't get any more for a few days.

When I've used my Citibank Visa debit card here in Amman, I've withdrawn 200 JOD at a time without any problems. I don't know whether there's a limit as I haven't tried a higher amount, and I can't tell you which ATMs I've used. Also, I'm withdrawing existing cash from my account, not seeking a cash advance from a credit account.
