Since I prefer to not travel on a fixed timetable whenever possible I'm reluctant to book my guide for Wadi Rum too far in advance. I'll probably be going there from Petra in early March. I understand that the Cleopetra Hotel is the only one in Wadi Musa that book tours to Wadi Rum and not Diseh. If anyone has done this with them I'd be very thankful for your feedback.

Dear Jacko18
Although some hotels offer to book tours in Wadi Rum from Wadi Musa, many of these hotels take comissions off the top, therefore maing yourt trip more expensive. I would suggest booking through a guide directly, many of whom are very flexible with the bookings, letting you confirm the dates closer to the time. there are many tour guides, and a great selection can be found on the Jordan Jubliee Website; http://www.jordanjubilee.com/visitjor/rum3.htm#top.
My suggestion would be to go with Mohammed Hussein from Wadi Rum Adventures.
Hope you have a great time in Wadi Rum.
I stayed at Cleopetra for a few nights last month, and went to Wadi Rum from the hotel.
Mosleh, the manager, arranged the transport to and from, and also the 4 wheel drive vehicle around the desert.
The driver/guide provided a meal for us at him home at Wadi Rum when we returned from the adventure.
I thought it was very reasonable, and have no complaints about it...we had a great day out!
Cheers,
