The International Air Transport Association wants me to believe that:

  • In connection with the outbreak of influenza A(H1N1), ALL
passengers arriving to Jordan from the U.S.A. will need to:
    • complete arrival forms before going through the
      immigration control; and
    • undergo a medical check upon arrival.

What exactly should I expect at the airport in Amman?

It is simple they stick in your ear a a gadget like thermometer for a second and they stamp your entry card that is all they do.No need to worry

Thanks, marcopolo -- much appreciated.

When I recently went to Turkey from the UK they gave everyone a massive form
to complete which took the best part of half an hour some people longer and then
as Marco said above we had out temperature assessed.

Nothing to freak out about and remember we all have a responsibility to ensure
this virus is kept under control.

Travelling these days is becoming rather burdensome.

No responsibility issues here. :) However, if anything more invasive than a 'thermometer in the ear' was involved, I would be changing my travel plans.
