Hi all,

I'm planning a not-longer-than 14-day trip to go to Israel and West Bank in June.
Having surfed through the forum, I'm quite concerned upon the possibility of being denied from entry for whatever reason. I totally respect the government's policy, and I only hope not to have my holiday ruined...

So which is the best option to secure my trip?
1.) Take the direct EL AL flight from HKG to TLV;
2.) Take an European fight from HKG to TLV, through Amsterdam/Frankfurt/Zurich;
3.) Travel to Israel…

I want to visit Israel. The airplane tickets alone are about $2000. Is there an expensive time to go there? I've checked expedia and a few other places - it would be leaving from Los Angeles.

I'd like to bring to your attention a new Israeli website that was established last year - Isralet ( www.isralet.com</a> ) .

Isralet is the largest website in Israel, in the English language, specializing in short-term & holiday rentals .
Property owners can list their properties free of charge and potential customers can contact them directly also for free.

Next time you visit Israel, don't spend your many on expensive hotels, instead come and stay at lovely fully furnished homes all around…

I received an unexpected work-related invitation to go to Israel for 9 days in early June. Normally, I have more time to prepare for an international trip, so am reaching out to the forum. Any tips or suggestions for a business trip there (e.g., clothes, small gifts for new people will meet, should I take a laptop or use Internet cafes/hotel computers)?

Hi all, I have stamps for Iran, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and various other Arab countries. I know its a problem entering some of these with Israeli stamps but is it ok the other way around and, if so, is there a way around this? I dont want to turn up at Tel Aviv only to head back to London! thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I'm planning a trip to Israel in late April and I'm asking you the following question.

1) Is there any public transport from Jerusalem to Jericho?
2) How long does it take by foot, getting from Jerusalem to Jericho through the ancient Roman Road?
3) Is it possible to get to Jericho through Wadi Kelt, make a stop and visit the Monastery of St George Koziba, then visit Jericho and finally coming back to Jerusalem by public transport on the same day?
4) is there any Israeli checkpoint on that…

Hi everyone,

I am going on a Birthright Israel Trip this summer with Israel Outdoors. I know that every trip and every organizer is different but has anyone ever gone on a Birthright trip? What were the highlights for you? Any chance to party (I know they are very strict about you staying with the group and all)? As many people who take the trip, I am much more interested in the cultural side of things than in the religious aspect although open to all (I'm of half-Jewish descent and have little…

I'm travelling to Jerusalem in July which seems to be the hottest time of the year. We are hoping to go quite budget but am wondering if air conditioning is necessary at this time of year? The average daily low is 19 degrees but am wondering if it feels hot at night and if it's muggy heat or not?

Is an old stone building like the Citadel Hostel (www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails.php/CitadelYouthHostel-Jerusalem-13019) more or less likely to be hot at night compared to a more modern building?
