Hello all
I’m taking part of an archaeological dig in Haifa from the 26th July to the 6th august, I’m going to spend a few days with some friends in the north but around the 8th I’m going to make my way to Jerusalem and want to stay for a while. If there is any other solo travellers in Jerusalem around these dates and would like to meet up to do some site seeing that would be good, and it would also be cool to have someone to experience the nightlife with.

Also how long is best to give yourself…

Hi -

I'm looking to book a hostel in Tel Aviv, and I came across the Mishkenot Ruth Daniel Guest House in Jaffa. Has anybody stayed/heard anything about this place? It seems like it's a relatively new hostel and doesn't have many reviews.

It's located at Sderot Yerushalayim and Ben Tsvi in Jaffa. Any idea what this location is like? Safe at night?

Thanks!

Hi Guy's

I've booked a last minute flight to Israel -I leave this Saturday!I'm really excited as I've always wanted to go to Jerusalem but I really haven't left much time to plan. I land at Ben Gurion airport at 2.30 am Sunday morning, I'm guessing that it would be better to head for Tel Aviv for the night rather than try to get to Jerusalem.

I've got a week and to be honest I haven't thought that much further than Jerusalem, I'm sure there is enough to keep me busy for a week,. Masada looks…

Hi

We're thinking of doing a two week trip to Israel in September with our baby who will be almost one. We'd like to do a bit of travelling around (between Jerusalem, Dead Sea and Eilat - maybe even going to Petra?), but are unsure of how hot it will be and whether it will just be a bit much with such a small person!

Also we aren't sure how to transfer between these locations in the most baby-friendly way.

If anyone has any suggestions/thoughts/recommendations, we'd be very grateful.

Thanks

TEL AVIV

Three questions:

Has the gordon swimming pool reopened?

Does anyone know if there are still carpentry workshops for children (and the phone number to make a reservation?)

Where should we buy bicycles for the family? 2 adults 2 children. Used or new ones, depending on the price? I saw on some web pages that renting a bike for a day costs around 50 shekel, so buying seems to be a better option.

Thank you for your suggestions and answers

Hello. I am going to arrive in Tel Aviv on August 1st ( at 3:30 pm) and depart on August 10 (at 11 pm). I have a free hotel room thanks to a friend on August 1st and 2nd in Tel Aviv but could leave earlier if need be. I would like to hit the Christian hot spots (including spending enough time to take in all of Jerusalem) and would also like to visit Petra. I don't mind renting a car where needed to save time vs. taking the bus.

Any suggestions will be SO appreciated. Thank you fellow traveler!

I've been reading many posts about the crucial question of the notorius israeli stamp. I also learned that a Jordan exit-stamp certifying your crossing in one of the Jordan-Israeli border entry-points will basically prevent you travelling to the israely-hater countries.

I was planning to try my luck at the Allenby bridge then hoping to get the beloved paper-stamps from both polices.

However, also in that fortunate occurrence, I will find myself with no exit-stamps from Jordan, leaving my…

My wife and I arrive at Ben Gurion on a Saturday morning, (around 09:30).We would like to go to Kibbutz En Gedi. I understand that transportation options are very limited on Saturday/Shabat.

What options are available on a Saturday morning for transportation to En Gedi?

Contact and cost information about the available options would be very much appreciated.
Thank You
