Hi,

Sorry it has nothing to do with travel, but I don't speak Ivrit and would like to know what is this silly game about? What is written there?

My film "Land of Milk and Chutzpah” presents a 1995 trip to Israel and Petra, Jordan. The video includes Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Galilee, Golan Heights, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Masada & the Dead Sea. Jewish, Moslem, and Christian holy places are all presented. (The movie reflects a time of optimism regarding the peace process, and the viewer should approach it from the context of 1995.)

The film can be seen on the web with a high speed internet connection. This is a free, non-commercial…

Tel Aviv: Momo's

Helpful staff, but a very dirty place ... Toilets and showers seemed to haven't been cleaned for a long time. Pillows and mattresses are disgusting!!!

NOT RECOMMENDED

Jerusalem: Citadel Youth Hostel

Good location, nice first impression, but unfriendly and not very helpful staff.
I booked a single room with shared bath - first they couldn't find my reservation, then they tried to charge me the full amount and didn't recognize my deposit payment, then they used a ridiculous US$…

My boyfriend and I would like to visit the Dead Sea and Masada, preferably with a a tour that allows us to climb Masada early in the morning and allows us to do our own thing. Any recommendations?

  • Is it worth it to stay in and around this area? Or to take a day trip from Jerusalem?

I haven't seen any recent posts if people are having difficulty at the airport in Tel Aviv if they have visited the West Bank so any info would be helpful. Do you tell the truth that you visited and what if you have purchase small gifts? Thank you

Hello,

after a lot of information read still wonder if it is possible to drive by a rented car through WB?

To be presiced: me and my wife will have 3 free days (Friday Midday till Sunday very late in the afternoon) in Israel to explore it alone. That means we will arive several days before and stay in Tel Aviv and then we'll be alone.

As a base we booked a hostel in Jerusalem. To try to see as much as possible we booked a car (SIXT). That's what we want to do:
Day 1: Still not very many ideas

We're coming to Israel Nov 3-17 and have a few ideas already but would appreciate some help with planning - and tips, too!
We're thinking about doing the following, in order:

5 nights - in the north
2 nights - Tel Aviv
1 night - Massada (already booked)
1 night - Ein Gedi (already booked)
5 nights - Jerusalem

We are not planning on renting a car for the whole trip;
we both prefer public transport but if it turns out that a car
would be excellent for part of the trip (i.e. the north),
maybe we'd rent…

Hi,

I have read numerous posts detailing the journey from Amman to Jerusalem by vehicle over the King Hussein Bridge and how time consuming and frustrating it can be.

I am wondering if anyone has ever flown from Amman airport to Tel Aviv and then on to Jerusalem. Royal Jordanian flies there a couple of times per day and I thought this might be an easier and more reliable way to make the journey. I realize it will be more expensive, but I only have a couple of days, so spending a day at a…

To anyone who knows Eilat area -

I am traveling through Eilat from Egypt in January 2010, and I wanted to know if it's a good idea to go there from a Friday to Sunday because of Shabbat. From Eilat, my plan is to take a day trip to Petra on Saturday, and then leave for the Dead Sea on Sunday afternoon through Egged.

From what I've read, regarding a Jordan/Petra day trip, I can take a taxi to the Jordan border and then take a transport from the other side to the Petra sights. And, on Sunday…

Hello peoples!

Me and a couple of friends are considering Tel Aviv for a (hopefully) mad and beautiful NYE party. I have been there a couple of times, once on an unimagineably hot, sweaty, amazing summers night, the other one on a rather dull, slow night in late january... Question remains, is TA up for a party on NYE? Are there decent spots to catch reggae music and a friendly crowd? Are there spontaneous parties outside etc?

The last NYEs we have spent in Cologne (amazing) and Milan (not…
