Why does Catw politize threads?

Oh my god. The Golan heights is territory under Israeli control and under international law regarded as Syrian territory under Israeli occupation. Where is the problem? A traveller has to know that it is under Israeli control and if he is informed about the international situation then this is also ok and no misinformation.
So stop propaganda - because this is what travellers really do not like. It is really incredible what happens in such threads!

The real problem here is that the moderators refuse to put an end to these irrelevant political discussions as soon as they start, almost always due to a pointless comment by Catw that is not related to the OP's question. Catw does not understand that the point of a travel forum is to facilitate the logistics of a tourist's itinerary. not provide them with a political education. Catw's political posts are always reported, but are rarely deleted.

Being a lawyer, i'm sure you're a very thorough person. Why don't you read this thread again from the beginning (you might even want to read some past threads) and see if you still don't see what everyone is writing about.

I was reading more threads and just to say catw is the bad person with political statements is just one sided. And do not forget: saying that the Westbank is not Israel is not a political statement, because it isn't part of this country, even by Israeli law. But it is (just) a political statement to say that it is part of Israel. Just as example.

I also think that the moderators should put an and to such useless discussions in this forum, here mbgg is right, but just to say "catw is guilty" is really onesided

The Golan Heights are definitely under Israeli control, pending a peace agreement with Syria.

However the Wadi Qelt is in the Palestinian territory, not under Israeli control. The path leads to Jericho, which is out of bounds to settlers.

Tef, Catw's posts are littered with many inaccurate statements that are political in nature and can be misleading to the reader. this has bene his history of posting here.

Thanks to all for the hiking information asked for in the OP. I think I've got all what I need and there a lots of possibilities that have been highlighted here and in PM's.
