hey there,
does somebody know if there are any cheap carriers from Tel Aviv to Cairo? Or if not, then from Amman?
Looking htrough the net I only found price 500 bucks and up --> as Cairo is just next door this seems quite high to me.

Or how long would it take to go by bus/Taxi via Sinai?

Do a keyword search and you'll find the full schedules I posted a few weeks ago. There are only two carriers: Air Sinai and El Al. Both charge quite a bit, though I believe less than the US$500 you seem to have found. Was more like US$350 if I recall. Your other question gets asked a lot too: how to take the long way around via Sinai. Do a search on here.

I agree with Loren and to add cheap is not always better in fact usually just the opposite I've found. The over the road option is rather long and boring...

Royal Jordanian flies from Amman to Cairo. I paid $US150 or so one way but that was 5 years ago. Bound to have gone up.

We flew Air Sinai to Cairo back in December and the fare was about $250 per person.

Check out Mazada Tours in Tel Aviv. We got the tickets through them and they were quick at responding to our emails questions.

Good luck!

Or you can get the bus directly from Jerusalem-Cairo (Jlem is about 45mins-1 hr from TA) for $50, booked through Mazada tours. It takes 13 hours.

Hey Ros, i would be going there in May and i think i would be taking this option of Mazada tours. Just wondering whats the frequency of service for these buses .. i guess someone can change at Eilat and then go from Taba as well. But I think i will go for Mazada buses.. Just have to make sure it runs on the day i intend to do.. any one any idea ?
