I've just moved to Jerusalem. I'm a keen biker at home. I'm trying to find clubs or groups that would go on weekend cycles, say 100k or so. I'm not after night cycles or sightseeing spins. Also, are there any problems cycling from Jerusalem into Palistinian areas with secrity, etc.

I'm no cyclist myself, but a Google search (in Hebrew) led me eventually to this site (in English!). There's a "contact us" on the site. It could be a start.

Both Israel and Palestine are pretty safe these days. The only issue in that both Israelis and Palestinians drive like nuts and rarely expect to see people riding bicycles on the road, except in the center of Tel Aviv.

These are two professional bike shops in Jerusalem.
They can definitely help:

There's no official reason preventing you from entering a Palestinian neighborhood on your bike although you might be thought to be a lost Israeli Jew and that may rub some people the wrong way.
