Hello all - I am in Jerusalem now and was thinking of going to Ramallah in the next couple of days, but with the news about the death of the three kidnapped teenagers, is it a bad idea?

Tourists are not targets of violence. And while it's impossible to predict what might happen in the next few days, weeks, months or years, I don't see any reason to stay away from Ramallah. Israelis are not permitted to enter Ramallah (or anywhere else in the Palestinian Authority), so there is no potential for violence in Ramallah from any extremist Israelis who might want to take revenge.
As with anywhere in the world, if you see trouble, steer clear, use your common sense, and you'll be fine.
