On entering Tel Aviv airport I asked the typical question about getting the stamp outside of the passport. This was accepted with no problems. I then went back for some of the routine questioning, and received my passport about an hour later.

My passport has no stamp in it (as requested), but also the piece of paper with a stamp on was disposed of. So I have nothing on me with evidence of my entry stamp for Israel. I am travelling for around 3 weeks here, will this cause any problems? And if so, should I get something done about this immediately? I'll be leaving from Tel Aviv airport at the end of my trip.

Apologies for another stamp question, but this seemed to be different from most of the other questions I could find on here.

Thanks.

Israeli authorities no longer give you the piece of paper they stamped. In practice, this means that any time you cross a checkpoint, you may be asked to wait till they've called the airport and verified that you have not overstayed your visa.

Everyone who enters Israel--whether their passport is stamped or not, gets a piece of paper with a stamp on it. They then walk forward and about 10 seconds later it is collected from everyone. I would venture to guess that this is the paper you are referring to. Inasmuch as I do not have a passport with no stamps, unless someone says otherwise I will assume that CATW's response is correct in what it says.

Israeli authorities used to leave the piece of paper with the stamp in one's passport, so that they could cross checkpoints without hassle. Now they keep that piece of paper. There was a change in policy a few years ago.

Related to the former replies... you won´t have a problem. It might take you a bit more time at the checkpoint enshallah not.
And you won´t have any problems leaving the country! So to answer your question: You don´t need to do anything about it! :)

Breathe! Enjoy Israel and Palestine and always safe trip!
