Foreign ATM card fees in Israel?

No ATM would be completely free. Even Israeli card holders have to pay a fee (NIS 0.67) on withdrawals from ATMs in Israel.

When I use my Israeli card, I like shuffaluff pay a fee. However, when I use my American card--I have never been charged a fee by an Israeli bank. Also, the rate of exchange is determined by my AMERICAN bank. I guess they figure in whatever they are passing to the Israeli bank for allowing me to use their ATM. I also know that on any given day--the rate I get is standard from bank to bank. ( but the rate YOU get may be different than what I get--depending upon our home bank.

Thanks for the replies. But what if it's not an American card? Just a PLUS system card from a foreign non-American bank?

While I obviously only have experience with American cards--I do not see the difference. Why not ask the question on Trip Advisor. THey seem to have a bunch of Australians and Canadians posting.
