Bus from Nazareth to Amman Any Details Would be Great!

I am traveling to Israel and Jordan later this month and had planned to take the bus from Nazareth to Amman with the Nazarene Bus Company. I have been calling them for days and they don't answer their phone and I cannot find an email or website for them. According to a several different recent guide books and the Fauzi Inn where we are staying, the company does exist and we need to reserve tickets in advance. No idea how to do this if we can't reach them!

I found a thread from several years ago but was hoping someone would have more recent information.

Here is what we need to know:

  1. How do we make a reservation?
  2. When does the bus arrive in Amman?
  3. Where does the bus drop us off in Amman?

Any information would be incredibly helpful!

The number is +972 4 601 0456
They are indeed not answering, and I assume it is because of the Eid Adha Holiday and that they will resume work on Tuesday or Wednesday.

From what I could gather, buses leave on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8am from Nazareth. The drop off in Amman is near the Hotel Maraya, if that makes any sense.

Interesting. Thanks for your response. I knew about Eid but the not answering has been going on for a while now. Also that phone number and hotel name are different than the ones I have from my book/internet research. So confusing. Well I guess that is the case with travel adventures! If only we could find someone who's actually taken the bus.

I have a different phone number 972-464-0797.

I am assuming this is the same bus company's site? [http://english.nazarene-tours.com/] Even though they do not mention the Haifa/Nazereth to Amman service on the web site.

Sandyfoot, that phone number can't be right as it's a digit short.

+972 international dialling code for Israel
04, area code that includes Nazareth (drop the 0 when calling from abroad)
Then it needs another seven digits.

So what you have is either a typo or an old number dating from when they were only six digits.

Now I have read their web pages, on the Rainbow page on day 3, the tour goes into Amman. I bet this is the right company.

On the Phone Number Mixup:

The Nazareth Transport and Tourism company seems to have 3 arms
1 - a tour company called Nazarene Tours (Sandyfoot's Number)
2 - a public transport company with regular service lines throughout the Galilee
3 - a bus line between Nazareth and Amman.

I called #2 to inquire. They were able to give me basic information (Sun, Tues, Thurs, Sat at 8:am from Nazareth) but directed me to the +972-4-6010458 number which is apparently of the wing handling the international haul. And noone is answering there...
