Im thinking of travelling around Israel solo end of May, either stay on a Kibbutz or travel around, and was wondering of there's anyone out there who is doing the same!

And any advice on which kibbutz to stay on??

Im 20, female uni student in Bristol, from LONDON: Looking for an adventure and some awesome people who wanna do the same.

You should be aware of several things:
a. The socialist communal kibbutz of the previous generations hardly exists anymore: most have been privatised.
b. You can't just walk into a kibbutz if you want to volunteer; it has to be arranged in advance. Google "kibbutz volunteers" and you will find several websites, e.g. http://www.kibbutz.org.il/volunteers/
c. Many kibbutzim operate small hotels and B&Bs. They are not necessarily cheaper than other hotels and are usually separate from the kibbutz itself.
d. You shouldn't post your email address on forums. This forum has a "Send message" option that people can use to contact you.

Post more information about your planned visit : how long you will be in Israel, your budget, what your interests are - e.g.history & archaeology, hiking and nature, religion (which one), clubs & pubs, the beach, etc, etc.

I will be traveling to Israel from may 31st to june 11, so I too would like to know more. For example, what are some cheap places to stay in Tel Aviv? Things to see in Israel outside of Jerusalem and the West Bank? (Ill be going there too)
