Hi,

I would like to ask those who have flown from Toronto, Canada to any city in Israel: How much did you pay (I do realize that it depends on the season)? What would be considered a good deal? How much would it be without a deal?

Many thanks.

The only airport in Israel to which you can fly from overseas, with the exception of a few charter flights to Eilat (I think only from Europe) is Ben-Gurion, which is known as Tel Aviv and is actually between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

I can't help you on the cost, though. It might be cheaper to fly from Toronto to somewhere in Europe if you can get a cheap flight, and then an onward flight from there. Look here for cheap flights to Tel Aviv: http://www.whichbudget.com/en/cheapflights.php?to=TLV

I forgot to mention that if you transfer in London, note that Luton airport is about 30 miles to the north of London and if you fly into another London airport you should allow seven hours to get from one airport to the other.

One of my favourite sites is www.farecompare.com for flights with the usual national carriers. If you really look around and are flexible you might be able to get something for around 800-900CAD. You should also check flying into Amman. A friend of mine is flying into Amman and out of Cairo for 1300CAD.
Good luck!

Hi mizzsan!

Thank you for your reply. Is your friend also visiting Jordan and Egypt or only flying into Amman and out of Cairo to visit Israel? If I want to find something for under $1000, like you said, I guess I should travel during low season.
