Hi, we are planning to visit Iran after Ramadan. We called the embassy here (in Doha, Qatar) and they told us we need an invitation to get the visa.
Could anyone help us? PLEASE!!! They do not speak much English in the Iranian Embassy in Doha. We want to know if it is easier to get an e-visa through the www.mfa.gov.ir or via a travel agency.

I have asked this question a few days ago but there is no response, so I would try again. Can someone tell me what is the temperature and weather in Iran from mid November - early December ? Must I bring a sleeping bag when travelling in train ? Does Iranian hostels provide heater, or it's not yet neccessary ? Thanks.

How much should i expect to pay for a taxi ride?
What if i take a taxi to Imam Khomeini shrine and continue by metro, how much should i pay for taxi in this case, will be to early for metro?

It might sound like an odd question, but I am half Iranian so I can enter Iran only with my Iranian passport and not my EU passport and I have heard all kinds of stories. I am planning on spending 3 months there in February and some friends will probably join me at some point but not for the whole 3 months.

Does any one out there knows if Taiwan citizen do in fact qualify for the so-called 15-day-on-arrival airport visa? I know Chinese citizens do but what about Taiwanese?
In short, earlier today I called Iran Foreign Ministry and spoke to an official who said only Chinese citizen (NOT Taiwanese) would qualify for airport visa. However, when later I called Imam Khoemeini Airport Immigration they said something else by pointing out that for visa purposes they do consider all Taiwanese as Chinese…
