Thought I would share this.... I'm Canadian and have just tried getting an Iranian visa. The way it's done is that you first have to contact an agency on-line in Iran that then gets you an authorization number (once approved by the Foreign Affairs ministry of Iran) in which you provide that number to the embassy, to then get your tourist visa application rolling.

does anybody know if there is some kind of bus or other public mean of transport from Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA) to the Tehran?
I was trying to find it last year when I was in Tehran, but without any luck, some said that there is some bus, but didn't know where, others said there is only taxi. On the internet you can also find some contradicting info.
How it really is?

Does anyone have any advice/personal experience with Iran tours? I am a U.S. citizen who is hoping to travel to Iran. I am interested in a tour that includes at least 4 star accommodations at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, although I speak the language and am familiar with the culture, I am restricted to traveling with a tour due to citizenship. I have found tours online which appear to be charging ridiculously priced options. I would be grateful for suggestions 😊

I've applied for my tourist visa a bit early (taking LP's advice, unfortunately), and as a result I've received a visa that expires 10 days before I arrive in Iran. Unfortunately it's impossible for me to get there early, so I'll have to reapply.
