I will travel from Qom to Tehran before I catch my flight home, and was wondering if anyone could recommend a hotel near the Imam Khomeini airport?

Hey Guys,
I'm going to Iran soon and after a few weeks of travelling I want to cross the border to Turkey at Kapiköy (Van). I've read that there aren't any trains anymore but what about busses? And what about the safety? I want to go to Istanbul, but also visit Van, Diyarbakir, Dersim. Is this possible or would you recommend to take the bus over Armenia, Georgia and the black sea?

I would arrive to IKA on 06 of may at 3:30 in the morning, but would like to go directly to Tabriz. Someone could tell me if there are some direct flights starting from IKA, or even from Mehrabad, in the morning (maybe before lunchtime) and how much would they cost?

Hi! I'll go to Iran next month. I'm looking for clean and cheap accomodation. Can you suggest me hotel, possibly telephone number and e-mail too. Follows my itinerary:

I am wondering about following bus connections. Could u pls advise? I would appreciate schedule also.

1. Kashan to Hamadan - is there direct bus or only via Qom to change bus?
2. Kermanshah to Takab (to see Takht e Soleiman)
3. Takab to Tabriz or Orumieh
4. Tabriz to Gazor Khan

I was trying to book ticket for my upcoming trip. I tried over telephone and someone (presume its the owner Mr Mousavi ) informed me to send the request for room booking only two days before my departure date. can anybody here confirm if this is the way they do booking??.

He spoke not much perfect english and he even advised me if someone at airport ask about my stay just tell them " Firouzeh Hotel" (i already got visa).

BTW he even agreed for airport pickup.

Im going to Iran next week for two weeks and I have trouble finding (budget) accomodation.
I contacted a lot of hotels and no one really anserwred me. I also have trouble to let my booked hotel in Iran confirm the reservation (I need this in order to get my visa on arrival). First they said they would email it to me but in the end my reservation wasnt even in their system - so they didn't book the for me. I called a few times but now even that the hotel employee promised that my room…

The two hotels in Rayan near Kerman are expensive and very flash and one is gawdy. Whilst we did not stay there, we met Ali 09130563892. His english is limited but he isvery friendly and has old paykan taxi.

We are planning a road trip in Iran in late october and wonder if anyone has any experience to share with us. Our plan is to arrive in Tehran, rent a car through Europcar and drive southwards. We are aware that the traffic is said to be very challenging..
The tentative itinerary is Tehran-Qom-Esfahan-Yasuj-Shiraz-Persepolis-Yazd and then either hand in the car in Esfahan or drive back to Tehran. Any tips on other attractions along this route or detours worth taking? We´re especially curious about…
