Visiting Iran end of Dec-Mid Jan

I have the same question posted on Couchsurfing and they said that traveling is of course possible, but it is preferred to visit the southern part of the country, as northern part, especially the northwestern part, would be extremely chilly.

I am traveling 2nd half of December, and Tehran, Shiraz and Isfahan are all in my itinerary. I guess that's good.

Great to hear that you are planning to travel to Iran. First of all i can say that the months that you have chosen are not very appropriate months. The best months to travel to Iran are March, April, May, June and July. The weather is wonderful during these months. In December its really cold and you will not be able to enjoy your stay.
In regards to your domestic flights, you can get them from travel agencies. One of the greatest agencies in this regard is Safe & Sound Travel Agency. I found them extremely professional, friendly and helping. One great point about them was that they were extremely excellent English-speakers which was really helpful.
