Hello Middle East lovers!!!!! It seems that I´ll be in Iran on august if the visa process is not that hard but I was wondering, I work on an airline and we have a system called timatic where you can check the requirements for travelling to a certain country and according to it, mexican citizens require a visa and the visa can be obtained on arrival for a max stay of 14 days, has someone of you tried this before???
And please, from there I´m planning to visit Yemen and as there´s no diplomatic representation of that country in Mexico. Could someone give me the address of the Yemen consulate in Teheran?? Can I obtain my visa there as a foreign citizen?? Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

buenas dias.. I think you get yr Yemen visa on arrival. I did. Just check about yr nationality. It takes just a few minutes. There is a booth in Sanaa airport arrival hall. and you get yr visa just by paying a fee. Again. I do not know if you can get a visa upon arrival as you are mexican.plenty of ATM at the airport. plenty of Taxis pls be aware that you cannot travel in yemen alone in most parts. due to terrorist attacks. therefore you will need yr visit to be organized by a local agency that will obtain necessary permissions. Normally tourists travel in convoys with heavy escorts.. or at least they have a soldier in the car with you. weapons are on a free sale basis there. outside Sanaa most people boast proudly kalashnikovs. but do not worry. people are very good. Only they do not use forks and knives to eat. just their hands. I recommend. bring yr own fork or spoon or knife.. if you do not like that.

Hi Ivan,

I think you should listen and do what 'Sanrdo1' says. It may be very difficult for you to obtain Yemeni visa in Tehran, some embassies have 'special rules' for granting visa to non-Iranians! So if you can in fact get airport visa in Yemen as no. 1 has suggested above, then the wise thing to do is just to wait until you get there and totally forget about going to Yemen Embassy here. Bye for now.

Brazilian friend visited Yemen a few mnoths ago and was told at airport that he couldn't get a visa there. Fortunately, he reached me by phone and I faxed a letter from my office in Sana'a to the airport officials inviting him and they let him in. If had hadn't been able to reach me, he would have likely been sent on the next flight back to Cairo. Make sure you check if officials are issuing visas to Mexicans at airport. I know that U.S. citizens are given 1 month visas on arrival.

Hi Ivan,

You see you do not know until you ask a lot of people. So DO NOT go to Yemen before you have sorted out your visa dilemma. You may have to get it (visa) in Tehran. although I do not know how easy that would be. When you are here, ask me to remind me to call the embassy for you! Bye.

Thanks for all your help, I can`t get a visa on arrival, I was rejected last year from yemen because of that so my chance is either to get it in Iran or ask for the help of zamalkawy. Is that really possible to get a visa on arrival with a letter from your office even if my country has no treaties with Yemen?? Could you help me with a letter in case I cannot obtain it in Iran?? Please that could be great!!!!!!!!
