Will anyone be in Tehran in May, 1st to 4th?

Also, does anyone know what the Mashad hotel is like?

Thanks,

Mashad hotel is conviently placed, but the rooms are like cells with no windows (I have been there four times- cause I cannot be bothered to do more market research in Tehran - and last time was October). Nevertheless it is clean and simple and has desperately slow internet connections. Its a good palce to spend a night or two but rather depresingly spartan for more. Cheers

Hi from u r previous posting i noticed u r going with persian voyeges. In that case u have a full itinenary and very little time to do outside socialising. Regarding foot wear try and wear a comfortable walking shoes as u may do lots of walking. Open shoes are no problem but may not be convinient with dusty or un even payvements. If u do get time try and visit a restaurant with live music in the evenings could be fun for u.

There are 15 million people living in Tehran, I'm pretty sure they won't all be leaving the city from the 1st to the 4th of May. ;o)

I'm going to be in Iran from 1st to 9th of May, but won't be in Tehran until about the 7th. I fly in to Shiraz and out of Tehran. Enjoy your trip.

It is a real backpacker joint with small pokey rooms, cynical staff and is often full. Pesonally I always go to the tehran gol which is closer to IK Sq.
