Be careful what you wear when you visit Iran...

Well, we do not approve of the sport committee decision but wearing such outfits is not common in Iran among men. You're also not allowed to wear shorts in Iran. (It's ok to wear them on the seaside though)

I wouldn't wear it. It's not my taste. But, what's wrong if someone does it? And gets suspended.
I'm trying to work it out and I'm no wiser. What's wrong? Is it the colour, the length, or the design?
How does that work in the Iranian mind? With al due respect.

It's the traditional mind in some of the Iranians which do not accept the design and the color for a grown up man. We as younger generation are ok with the country be more open. However we're not the decision makers.

However we're not the decision makers.

In this case it's nothing to regret.
