Hi all :)!
We plan to spend 4-5 days skiing somewhere near to Teheran in early March. Any info would be highly appreciated! Recommended resort, hotel, other activities in the area? Does it get very cold / windy?
Also, if anyone knows a realiable travel agent in Teheran through whom I could book that hotel & transfer, I would love to get the contact.

Shemshack seems to be the place where most Iranians go and where a lot of new appartments are being built. Dezin is on the other side of a pass and you must drive all the way around Tehran to get there (unless you are crazy and have a 4WD since the road is very sketchy).

Dezin looks like it has better terrain and is much bigger. There are a couple hotels at the base of Dezin although nothing like Shemshak. It also looked like there was a new quad that had been put in near Sehemshak so I am not sure what the deal is with that.

You might try Maryam at lutkatours.com who organise ski trips in Iran out of Dubai. I had them recommended to me, and so far they seem good.
