Picking up Iran visa stamp at Pakistan consulate in USA

i used iranian visa dot com and got my visa at the lahore iranian consulate.I live in Australia.

To get an answer to a question like that you should first call or email (preferably) both) Iran 'Interest Section' office which is based in Pakistani Embassy in Washington DC. You say, " I have a Pakistan consulate very close to my home." Do you mean you would rather pick your Iran visa at Pakistani Consulate in Boston?! Im pretty sure that wont be possible. But if you actually meat to say Pakistan Embassy in Washington, then again you must get in touch with Iranian staff there there since they are the only who can tell. By the way, as far as I know they would return your passport with Federal Express; hence I do not think you should be so concerned about sending out your passport. Good luck. Take care.

Thank you armirinira for your info. I do think I will call the Pakistani Consulate. I have no concern sending out my passport by mail, I have done that many times. My concern was getting my visa code # close to my departure date. Question: Do other Washington embassies, other than Pakistan, have an Iran 'Interest Section'?...Again thank you...Bobby

Needless to say DO NOT buy your airline ticket until you get your passport back with visa stamp in it, from Iran Interest Section that is. And did you know that as an 'American tourist' you would would have to be on/sign up for a tour to be granted visa for Iran travel? Unless of course you are an a academician or a journalist or something like that for which there are different types of visa.

You are asking, "Do other Washington embassies, other than Pakistan, have an Iran 'Interest Section'?" I do not think so. as far as I know Iran is the only one because its embassy in US has been shut down since the infamous American 'hostage crisis' in 1980.
