G'Day,

I placed my Visa application about 3.5 weeks ago, and wondered why it was taking so long. But then I read No Ruz was only last w/e.

Could someone tell me, how long do Government, and Travel Agencys take off during this time? Should I expect my visa application to take 2 weeks or more, longer than normal? (there is no huge rush, I dont leave till end of June, just would like to know.)

I did send a follow up email at about 3 weeks (which has been advised on here), but still no answer.

Thanks!

Salam,

The official holiday of Norouz is 5 days; but all schools and universities are off for two weeks (ending today!), therefore all he state offices and companies are somehow half-off!!

This is not good and efficient, but you can't count on work proccesses to be done on these two weeks! I hope you obtain your visa very soon.

Regards,

Hi.
Aliamiri is right.
Today is April 1 and finally we have reached the end of both the official (march 19-april23) and not-so-official but 'real' (march 19-april1) endless Iran New year holiday season! Your visa application process therefore may take well more than a month. You never know. and I do not think much 'work' at all is done during the holidays, the real 2-week period i mean, at the foreign ministry. You would have to be patient. did you send a follow up email?! to whom? i can call the FM to check on your visa application if you send me your full name, passport number and nationality in a 'private message', email that is. take care.bye.

Thankyou amiriniran, thats a very generous offer. If I run into any real problems, I will contact you.

I think I will just be patient for the moment. I think Im just anxious (and excited).

Cheers!

I know the feeling. My application was received March 14th at the embassy in Ottawa, Canada and so far....nothing! Ah well, as long as I get my visa sometime this month, I'll be happy.
