Hi, I am traveling to the Middle East in September and October and have decided to visit Iran, but for a limited time only.

Does anyone have a good idea for a 9-day tour of Iran beginning. I arrived by train from Turkey to Tehran on 4 October, and fly out to Dubai from Shiraz on 13 October. I would like to visit Esfahan and Yazd, but any further suggestions would be helpful, including possible guides for Esfahan and Yazd.
Thanks in anticipation
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I think nine days is just about enough time to visit those three cities you have mentioned, in addition to perhaps Kerman. Your travel route, in my opinion, should be something like this: Tehran- Esfahan (3 days)- Yazd (2days)-Kerman (1 day maybe)-Shiraz (2-3 days). and I do not think you need 'private guides' if you can hook up with other tourists and/or find traling companies here on Lonely Planet.
Please see my 'private message (email)' and let me know if you need more help. Good luck.Bye.
