Hey Guys!

I m just now travelling Iran, came today into Esfahan and there´s a new hostel up in town. It´s still very basic, inside the flat of a family wo actually still lives there. And they are so nice! If you are looking for a place to stay, surf to http://www.hiesfahan.com/index.php/en/

I just post them here, because they´re not on any network until now, I think. I am like the 8th guest here :)

Regards, Marcus

Hey Marcus, great find! Thanks for sharing it, looks like a good choice. Hope you have more tips for what you find in Iran...I won't be travelling there but I can enjoy others' experiences. Again, thanks

Looks nice.
How much did you pay? I can see prices US$15-40.
As a couple we paid US$40 for a double, breakfast included, at Julfa Hotel, next to the Armenian church.

I had a two bed room for myself for 20 €/night. It´s like 15 minutes walk from Vank Cathedral/Julfa.

Hello Marcus, the place looks really promising! Do they have rooms with private bathroom as well? My wife is a bit germaphobic so I try to avoid shared bathrooms. :)

Thanks for the info anyway!

I am sorry, but there are no rooms with private bathrooms. But as they only have two rooms until now, one with a double bed and one with two single beds inside, at maximum you will have to share with two other people.

Apparently, the business is closed. Do you have any update from them?

I am sending a message to the owner to ask. I´ll come back with the information.

Thank you man! Look forward for that!

As there was no reaction until now I think they really are closed.

As hostels are still illegal in Iran, in contrast to guesthouses, there is allways the chance that someone can´t pay his bribes anymore and has to close. :(
