Hello!
Would be glad to receive any information about backpackers' and overlanders' meeting places in Iran - cheap hotels, hostels, cafes etc. As far as I know, Iran is not very rich with travelers (although their number is increasing from year to year and many are passing through), so I need some information about the meeting spots.

Iran is a fairly popular destination among Europeans. You will meet other travellers at hotels where you'll be staying and on local tours.
There aren't many cafés in Iranian cities - you'll find a few in Isfahan and Shiraz. In less touristy places it's mostly traditional tea in bazaars.

Well, that's good, but can you tell some exact names like Khayyam House in Tehran, Silk Road Hostel in Esfahan etc.?
In Teheran I stayed at Firouzeh and in Isfahan at Jolfa Hotel in Armenian quarter. I also stayed at Silk Road Hotel in Yazd (not Isfahan) which was a nice place with big open space inside.

Same here - Silk Road in Yazd, which is a nice place to meet other travelers, and Parhami Traditional House in Shiraz. Both have a central courtyard with cots / seating.
I went to a number of tea houses but only one had foreign tourists in it. Rest were exclusively Iranians.
