Hello,

I have just seen this news. Now every european/countries on the US visa waiver program who would have visited Iran (and other countries) will have to get through the visa process and be thoroughly checked before getting on US territory.

My passport is full of funny stamps, and i live next door Iran (and heavily involved with Iran - learning farsi, charity, etc).
My uncle living in the US is sick and I would need to visit him. Before getting a nice" visa denied" on my passport, I would like to get some feedback from people on this waiver list who are now applying for a visa in the US.

Any difficulty?

Thanks

So far it's not through congress and you still can use the ESTA, since nobody knows how long it'll take you have to watch the subject closely, so it depends when you want to travel.

As that thread points out, while the bill flew through the House (with the president pushing) it hasn't even been set for a vote yet. And knowing congress, they'll tack on a bunch of amendments making it harder to pass.
